Positions Currently Under Consideration
Engineering Technician
William M. Cobb & Associates, Inc., a Dallas-based consulting firm, is seeking an engineering technician to assist its professional staff in providing consulting services to clients worldwide. The candidate will provide online data search and retrieval from industry databases, organize and analyze technical data, and create input data sets for execution in commercial software programs including project economic programs. The candidate is expected to have at least four years of applicable industry experience and be proficient in extracting, manipulating, correcting, and analyzing data in an Excel Spreadsheet and/or Access Database. The successful candidate is expected to be proficient in technical applications such as Aries, PHDWin, etc. The applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills and be a strong team player who is willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Reservoir Engineer
William M. Cobb & Associates, Inc., a Dallas-based consulting firm, is seeking a reservoir engineer to provide consulting services to clients worldwide. The work will consist principally of evaluating primary and secondary recovery projects using material balance and other analytical tools. Experience with black oil simulators will be helpful. The candidate is expected to have at least five years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with at least a portion of that experience in a reservoir engineering function. Three to five years in a major oil company will be beneficial. A MS degree in petroleum or chemical engineering is preferred; however, strong candidates with a BS degree in petroleum engineering will be considered. Simulation Reservoir Engineer
William M. Cobb & Associates, Inc., a Dallas-based consulting firm, is seeking a reservoir engineer to provide numerical simulation consulting services to clients worldwide. Work will consist principally of primary, secondary, and tertiary recovery project simulation studies. A MS or PhD degree in petroleum or chemical engineering is required. The candidate must have 10 or more years of experience using black oil and compositional simulation models such as ECLIPSE or VIP. It is desirable that the candidate have three to five years of experience with a major oil company. Applicant must be legally entitled to permanently work in the United States.
